A SORT OF GIVEWAY

May be the beginning of a collection...

This ring is handmade, of course, but the question is, made of what ? Ah ah ! If you find the answer for the first days of January, it will belong to you. Yeeessss.

As i intend to open my Etsy shop for January, it is a sort of giveaway.

But, not so easy...

As you can see, i put a little chinese coin on it, and a vintage button with a crystal on the top. The ring is hammered brass and adjustable. The diameter is 1,5 "

I have some of these handmade "rings", and am starting a collection with them, some rings, but some pendants too, with lots of different colours.

Here a photo of two future pendants, just the time to find the type of links, and if i added something or let them alone.

Time for me to wish all of you a merry Christmas, and send all my thoughts to all the friends i met here in bloglandia who suffer, or lost someone they loved.

Best wishes and merry Christmas.

With love,

oh véro!! these are awesome!! i have no idea of what kind of material is it!! maybe ceramic or polymer clay.. bonnes fêtes my sweetie!!

Riki Schumacher a dit…

Ohhhh, we love contests! Ok, since Esther said polymer clay, which I kind of think it might be, I'll guess paper, molded papers? With lots of paint mixed in??

sharon a dit…

I say polymer clay Vero...as only you could make look sooooo beautiful! Hugs to you!

Narrative jewelry a dit…

No, no polymer clay ladies, no paper Riki !

Judy a dit…

I think it is made out of friendly plastic...not really sure what that is but I have heard the term.
The rings are just gorgeous!!!
Cheers to you for a blessed holiday.

hello,
are those rocks with paint?

Hhhmm, either concrete or papier maché?

Oh Ronita!!

These are just way to cool!!! I love the solid "stone" it appears to be very porous with the many tiny holes. Almost like pumice stone with gold leaf. But to tell you the truth I don't think it matters much what the material is. In your creative hands it's amazingly beautiful!!!

Wonderful! I want one for sure...I will be sure to stop by your new Etsy site when it goes live! I would love to start one as well, but I don't think I could commit to January.
I know this might sound strange...but I am thinking that you marbelized (painted) some sort of styrofoam...they are really lovely, whatever they are!
Enjoy the day!

Pretty! My guess is that it they're made of polymer clay or papier mache, painted to look marbleized?

Hm, the pores in it look like some kind of stone, coral, or hard sponge. Just a guess! They are so cool! Can't wait to learn what they are made of. Have a beautiful Christmas and New Years!

My first thought was resin, with gold foil and maybe polymer clay embedded in it.
Then I thought, it looks a bit like enamel.
Or is it ceramic?
Whatever it is, these rings and pendants in progress are gorgeous, Véronique! I love them!

Cindy a dit…

I'm thinking of plaster, but not sure how that would be done.
Worth a try, though!

What a good idea to married a little chines coin with a vintage button. I am realy "bluffée" by such result. I like the softness of colors sublimate by te gold patina.

Vero
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I'm so happy with the news that you'll be opening your shop in January!! I'm looking forward to it & I know you'll have fun with it. I thougth these rings were made from some kind of plaster as well... I love the use of vintage pieces (buttons?).

Alice a dit…

Are they small door knobs--the kind you might find on an old dresser or something? Oh, but they are not porous like that. Drat, I have no idea what they are but they are sure lovely!

Susan Marling a dit…
