COLOURS

Hi ladies,

There was a long time since i did not show jewelry.

So, here is a necklace i made sometimes ago, inspired by the talented Deryn Mentock. I added one of my very first lampwork bead, a Effetre dark blue transparent. Gorgeous colour even if i am not really a blue girl !

The copper wire is hammered and patinated with LOS. The photo doesn't show the hook i made in the middle to attach the pendant, sorry.

And something new for me, because of my new torch, a Minor, i can make my own balls ends with copper. Yeaaaah ! That's a personal message for my sweet Esther at "Mes illusions baroques".

Below is my beloved Lemongrass glass by Vetrofond. A wonderful yellowish green.

I am really crazy with this colour,
and am pretty sure my dear Renate, at "Put a little magic in your life" will adore it too.

Making lampwork beads is a great great pleasure i have discovered a month ago.
Great adventure to take time to play with the rods and gravity when the glass melts.

Trying to make, as all newbies, swirls, dots, bubbles, flowers.

My next step is to try Double Helix, aka silver glass. A bit more difficult because i have to reduce the oxygen, or play with the fire, by "striking".

Thank you dear ladies to stay my regular readers even if i do not post a lot. Thank you for all your sweet comments.

Oh, and please, do not forget to go on Christinne Damm's blog at "Story they tell", she is doing something important for her sister in law, Vila, who was diagnosed with leukemia. She needs your help.

HAPPY VALENTINE's DAY FROM FRANCE

Happy Valentine's day to you dear friends of all around the world, from France.

I found sometimes ago these lovely vintage photos from 19th century.
It is a tryptique telling us the train trip to "The sweet land of love" of two strangers.

The legend said "Alone, at last !"

Have the most beautiful Sunday of your life dear friends.

FROM ME TO YOU

Because, as said Riki, i am very quiet on the bloglandia, some photos of a part of me, my home, to share with you dear friends.

Quiet because of my busy days on lampworking. Yeees, i bought all the supplies and am trying to make some beads. Wow ! great work, so interesting, so fun, so incredible to see the glass rods turning into a liquid orange paste.

Thank you to those of you who share their experience with us, newbies, on YouTube or on forums.

May be next time, some pics....

AND THE WINNER IS... MARCIE

Yeees, i have a winner for my December giveaway !!!
So, "Mademoiselle Poupette", my lovely girl decided to celebrate it by eating some "galette des rois" ! Of course she won the crown, but difficult for me to take a photo whithout moving.

Marcie at "The rustic victorian" found the material i used for the blue-gold ring, it was... UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) from Ranger. Please Marcie, let me know your address and i will send you the ring.
Do not forget to take a look at her lovely blog, even the banner is gorgeous.

I really love playing with UTEE. Funny joke to mix colors in the melting pot, pouring them in a cake pan, and voila, donuts are made. Up to you to develop the idea. For this ring, i used gold, white, and Denim blue powders. That what gave the marbled effects on it.

Thank you so so much ladies for all your answers and the good ideas you found, i am so proud to see all your comments.

Ooooh, and don't forget that my dear Sharon at "Livewire jewelry" has a lovely giveaway for the first monday of the new year. A wonderful "make a wish" bracelet which was featured in Bead Trends January 2010 issue.

Just leave a comment on her blog, or email her, or take a look at her Flick. You can enter till midnight on January 16th. The winner will be picked on the 17th and announced on Monday the 18th. Good luck ladies...

May i wish you the best for all of you and your families for this new year, hope 2010 will be plenty of love, ideas, creations and friendship.

A SORT OF GIVEWAY

May be the beginning of a collection...

This ring is handmade, of course, but the question is, made of what ? Ah ah ! If you find the answer for the first days of January, it will belong to you. Yeeessss.

As i intend to open my Etsy shop for January, it is a sort of giveaway.

But, not so easy...

As you can see, i put a little chinese coin on it, and a vintage button with a crystal on the top. The ring is hammered brass and adjustable. The diameter is 1,5 "

I have some of these handmade "rings", and am starting a collection with them, some rings, but some pendants too, with lots of different colours.

Here a photo of two future pendants, just the time to find the type of links, and if i added something or let them alone.

Time for me to wish all of you a merry Christmas, and send all my thoughts to all the friends i met here in bloglandia who suffer, or lost someone they loved.

Best wishes and merry Christmas.

With love,

THANK YOU LADIES

Yes, thank you ladies for your answers and encouragements concerning my future Etsy shop. Well, i now have to work on it with the help of my sweet Esther. I can understand that you are really interested by french supplies as buttons, laces, etc... So, let's go for it.

Those two necklaces are "work on progress", the heart (on the right side) is made with porcelain beads and copper wire, hammered and oxydizied. The focus bead (on the left side) is polymer clay, texturized with stamps, and painting with acrylics and some gold and copper wax.

TO SHARE THE COLORS

Just some pictures to share lovely colors with you, and experimenting a new way to take photos of my jewelry.

Mother of pearl button and chips, old brooches, old filigree buttons.
Below, the top of an Art nouveau barrette.

To be honest, i am thinking about opening an Etsy shop, what is your feeling about it ? I know, i have to work more and more, and to learn more and more.

But, my other idea is to sell too, old laces, hand dye laces, vintage buttons. Are you interested by these supplies ?

Let me know dear ladies.

Have a beautiful day or night...

LUCID MOON STUDIO LOVELY EARRINGS

Hello Ladies,

It feels like such a long time since i posted anything, sorry for this silence, many other things to do in place of jewelry. But, many thanks to all of you who sent me private messages and asked for my work.

Today i want to share with you dear friends, these beauties, made by Lisa Harrington at Lucid Moon Studio, for me. The idea of this "Thanksgiving earring exchange" came from the so kind Leslie Zabel at Leslie Bei Mondi.

And as the lucky girl i am, my partner for it was Lisa. I knew her creations via her website, but when i received the yellow envelop with her name on it, i said, OMG, ahem, Lucid Moon Studio for me ??? And what about my joy when i opened the package... These incredibly delicate earrings, with all what i love, etched copper, wire, and green moss agate ! Did you know i love moss agate Lisa ? This girl is surely a medium.

And as you can see, Lisa sent me some extra goodies, like those treasures found on the beach, i never saw such little seashells, and buttons from her Grandma' s house, which touched my heart a lot.

Thank you so much dear Lisa, for your talent and your kindness.

If you want to see the earrings i made for Loreleï, take a look at her website, Inside the Studio, she posted a beautiful comment on it. Thanks to all of you ladies who answered such sweet words.

ROUND ROBIN NECKLACE

Hello ladies,

Do you recognize me ?

Yes it's me ... The famous round robin, ooh, may i say, one of the round robins who fly over the world and the ocean (that's why you can see a globe behind me) ,to symbolize the most beautiful friendship adventure between five ladies who decided to create a ten hands necklace (that's why i wear a necklace ;-)

Two of them are from United States, Cindy at "Sweet bead studio", who is the initiatrice of the deal, Sharon at "Livewire jewelry", one from Germany, Renate at "Put a little magic in your life"
and two from France, Esther at "Mes illusions baroques", and Véronique at "Narrative jewelry".

They decided to let us, lovely round robins, explaining the game. Ahem... Each of them have started a part of a necklace, send it to the next one who will add her own part to the necklace, and again pass it on. Allright everybody ?

The fact is (as i was speaking with the other robins), all of them are really proud and honored to be working together without knowing each other, only by admiring one's work.

Oh, and they said they will show you the result of this beautiful project.

Good luck to the five ladies.

MY FIRST RINGS

Hello girls,

Thank you so much for all the comments on my precedent post, it encourages me to continue with copper and etching. It gave me lots of fun to do that, discovering what will happen with baking soda and sand sheet, not too much, just enough, to pop out the image.

Well... May i introduce my first rings, for you, friends ?
Let me know what you really think about them, it is just an attempt, work in progress... of course !

And for those who love ducks, i found this one...

The last pic for today. My next attempts would be on brass, Renate sent me a sheet of it, the color is so lovely that i need to try.

Have a beautiful evening.
